The most Parisian of Lisbon meeting places. Warm and intimate - an evocation of the atmosphere of Lisbon's cafés. A unique place in Paris to taste the most refined Pasteis de nata. Every day at Like in Lisbon, this famous pastry is passionately crafted, batch after batch, and served warm as tradition dictates. Accompanied by excellent Portuguese coffee, these pastries can also be taken home in an original and elegant box, to give or to treat oneself.

The Pastel de Nata is to Lisbon what the macaron is to Paris, its most refined sweet symbol. A tart with a specific shape and known for its unique, delicate, and very crispy pastry. Its heart holds a light cream that the Lisbon natives enjoy sprinkled with cinnamon to taste. Portugal long dominated the sugar trade. Long and dangerous voyages to which the Church gave its blessing in return for a precious gift, sugar. Add to that a collection of taxes also paid in kind and you have cellars rich in eggs, sugar, and flour. While the whites were used to starching Church clothes, the yolks found their way into the kitchen. And so, the convents and monasteries became the epicenter of Portuguese pastry. In Lisbon, in the district of Belém, at the Hieronymites Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos), a tart with a creamy heart quickly became famous. A certain Domingos Rafael Alves bought the precious recipe in 1837 and marketed the delicious cake. If people came to Belém to visit the sumptuous monastery and its Tower of Discoveries, soon the walk was motivated by a gourmet pilgrimage to the famous tart. A legend was born.
