About

The Pavilion, located on RN 96, still bears the name of its first owner, Simon Lenfant, Treasurer General of France. Built in 1677, it was designed by the Aixois architect Pierre Devoux. Its austere facade contrasts with the opulence of its interior, adorned with richly decorated ceilings, stucco work, and a dome painted in 1710 by Van Loo. A horseshoe-shaped iron staircase adds to the charm of this historic building. The park that surrounds it, designed in the 18th century, is enhanced with ponds and fountains, providing a peaceful and elegant setting.
